Keep Calm and Zombie On

2 x 3 canvas

Sometimes a little reminder to soldier on and remain prepared for the inevitable zombie riddled apocalypse is all we need. I've got my plan, what about you?

Walter, soon to be e-published

So I've been diligently working on the final revision to Walter, my first novella. All I can say is that I'm not too impressed with the difficulties I'm having in trying to get my word doc converted properly, so that it looks good for Amazon's Kindle. It's frustrating to say for sure, I would love to see a program that once converted, would allow you to fix issues in the preview stage. Calibre is a good program, but it would be nice to edit the file after it's converted, no such luck. So I'll have to upload my files and hope that I've done it right and doesn't end up looking little total ass.

Writings on the wall

So I haven't written in a while, but then again with me that's nothing new. Summer's here and super gorgeous at the moment, which makes wanting to do creative indoor activities a little boring. But I have been doing a little painting and I've at least wandered out to the balcony to do the 5th and hopefully final edit of my first short novel.

I'm going to have to keep pushing myself more and more to complete this before the end of August, as I want to post it to Amazon in their Kindle e-reader section. I don't know if it'll ever sell, but it would be nice to at least say that it's complete and out there for the world to discover. Even if it's not professionally edited, but I'm doing the best that I can.

Once I'm back from my week off to Ottawa to visit family & friends, I'll devote more time to completing that task.

Tasty Wings of Destiny

I see you little chicken wings
Sitting upon my plate
I know your little destinies
Your dreaded, deadly fate

You tender, tasty little morsels
Your bones will be picked clean
I will consume you, one by one
Until my appetite’s appeased

Yet in a dream, I see you running
Zooming across the plains
Two drumsticks, at mach speed
Dust following your trail

A pile of bones, now stacked high
An empty plate reveals
One by one, consumed you were
A succulent, tasty meal
